SIOBHAN’S TRUST REBRANDS AND UNVEILS THE NEW CHARITY, HOPEFULL

Siobhan’s Trust will refocus on its work in Scotland and overseas, but aid operations in Ukraine will continue, led by the new charity, HopeFull

4th March 2024: Scottish charity Siobhan’sTrust (www.siobhanstrust.uk) announces a development for the charity as it refocuses on its work supporting both young people in Scotland and its overseas Rapid Reaction operation. The significant aid operation that it was running in Ukraine will remain in place, but now be delivered by a new charity called HopeFull (www.HopeFull.org.uk).

When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the charity decided to move its primary focus to supporting war-torn communities, providing compassion and oven baked pizzas to those in desperate need. This work has been significant, with up to 5,000 people a day fed and supported. Overall, over 1.5million pizzas have been served to displaced Ukrainians across the country.

The Trustees believe the time is now right for Siobhan’s Trust to return to its roots. But, as the war in Ukraine rages on and the need for on-the-ground support remains intense, the Trustees equally believe that this vital work should continue, uninterrupted.

HopeFull’s mission will be to continue to provide hope to war-torn and disaster-struck communities by serving up a simple meal of pizza, delivered with warmth and compassion. The support from dedicated volunteers on the ground and the boost to morale it provides offers significant hope to communities across Ukraine.

The name and work ofSiobhan’s Trust will remain and be transferred to a different charitable entity, returning to its original purposes as a family trust based near Dundee where it will be run by the immediate family of Siobhan Dundee.

David Fox-Pitt, Ian Jamieson and Chris McIntosh are appointed as Trustees of HopeFull.  The team will be led by CEO Troels Henriksen with support from Tom Hughes (Head ofField Operations), Jozef Mycielski (Fundraising & Communications) and Nigel Harling (Fleet Safety & Maintenance).

Alexander Dundee, the founder of Siobhan’s Trust says; “We are very proud of the work we have done in Ukraine. Supporting vulnerable communities is at the core of our beliefs. Therefore when the invasion took place we wanted to stand by those communities to do what we could. This work must continue, and Siobhan’s Trust are very glad that the HopeFull team is now in place to ensure a seamless transition.”

David Fox-Pitt, Trustee at HopeFull comments; “The war in Ukraine rages on and there are displaced communities who remain in desperate need of our help. The new charity ofHopeFull reflects our passion and purpose, and we are committed to supporting these communities for as long as it takes. As well as, looking to the future, wherever the need may be in the world.”
