HOPEFULL HANGS UP THEIR PIZZA OVEN GLOVES

Coinciding with the three year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, the charity HopeFull (formerly Siobhan’s Trust) has announced that it will now suspend its free pizza serving operation in the country. The last pizza service will operate in the Lviv region on 24th February 2025, exactly three years to the day, since the invasion.

David Fox-Pitt MBE, Founder of HopeFull said, “This is a sad moment, but we have delivered as much hope and nourishment as we can, and our time has come to an end. I want to thank the amazing staff and over 500 volunteers who have made this remarkable enterprise possible. We can reflect upon the positive contribution we have made, in support of the Ukrainian people, covering over 600,000km and serving over 2.5 million pizzas in more than 1,800 locations across the wonderful country. This represents over2.5 million smiles and personally delivered messages of hope and solidarity. HopeFull has been a vital part of a much needed morale mission during this long and bloody conflict which we hope will end soon. It has been the privilege of our lives.”

Jozef Mycielski, Fundraising & Communications said, “It is overwhelming and humbling to think that our sponsors, donors and supporters have made this possible. In particular, we would like to thank Dr Oetker and ITALPIZZA, whohave donated over 2 million pizzas over the last three years. We will always be so grateful and can't thank them enough and without the incredible generosity of all our supporters, HopeFull would simply not have existed. Our operations also enabled us to facilitate 12 truckloads of aid across Ukraine (through TASH4Ukraine), multiple press trips and cross party MP visits – which have all helped keep Ukraine and its existential challenges in the public eye.”

HopeFull Future, the rehabilitation project that enables servicemen, medics, and their families to rebuild their lives, strengthen their communities, and achieve their full potential post-war, will be retained, working closely with our Ukrainian partners.

Slava Ukraini.
